The Night I Popped!

We were supposed to induce baby Charlotte on April 12th...so in preparation I went and got a pedicure and manicure with one of my favorites gals, Melissa :)  on Friday.  I had SO much to do before the baby; I thought that I would work my buns off on Friday and then relax all day on Saturday.  But on Friday after I got home I felt really funny, more tired than before and so sore! So, you guessed it I napped instead of working through the pain!  When Kevin got home from work I kept telling him I felt funny but he didn't listen...we ended up walking to the grocery store that night to buy batteries for all of Charlotte's new toys.  I went to sleep around midnight because we stayed up all night talking and putting together all sorts of fun bouncers and playards!

I woke up at 2am soaked!  My water had broke and we were off to the hospital to meet our baby!  (After I took my shower, blow dried my hair, put my makeup on and did other odds and ins!)

What a bittersweet day...I'm really going to miss my friends, but I'm so excited to be a stay at home mom too!  I won't miss those awful customers...but I'm totally going to miss my flight benefits!!  Daniel use those buddy passes as fast as you can!!  Haha!

My friends threw me a beautiful baby shower today.  They made all my favorite foods...even bought the pasta salad from Costco that I LOVE!!  Yum!!  We played a million games and it was just a great night all around!  Lisa, Melvin, Zack and Kim...thank you for such a wonderful night, everything was way beyond perfect!!

Carmen, Sarah and Sally threw me a wonderful baby shower today.  It was super pink and amazingly fun!  My sister's really went above and beyond the call of duty and I appreciate them so much for thinking of me and baby Charlotte!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!  

It was so great to see all my family and Kasey!  Who drove down from Arroyo Grande!  Little Charlotte has everything she needs to be the happiest baby on the block!

The baby's room is finally done!  And yes, it's very pink!  But super adorable!  I can't believe there's going to be a baby sleeping in there soon!!  

P.S.  I'm finally starting to show!  I love being pregnant :)

Kev and I have had the best holiday season!  Lots of relaxing and enjoying the holiday season!  On Christmas morning we told Grandma and Grandpa Witt the baby's name...Charlotte Rose!  It passed the Witt test, yeah!  Looking at Lucas makes me realize how different our life is going to be by next Christmas and how awesome it will be!  I'm so excited I can't stand it!!  Baby Charlotte we're so ready to meet you!

Kev and I went to Morro Bay for the weekend to spread my Grandma Marcia's ashes.  It was a sad weekend, but it was nice to spend some time with my family and think about my Gram and all the wonderful moments we shared during her life.  She passed away before we went through Invitro and that is so hard for me because she would have been so excited and supportive of Kev and I.  I wanted so badly to make her a Great Grandma.  

I love you and I miss you Gram.

Halloween!!

I love Halloween!  I was voted best costume on the block, so awesome!!  I got a big Hershey bar prize...yum!  

My friends Val and Chad came over for the night.  They just had a baby in August.  Aidan is super lovable and totally adorable!  Later that night we went over to our neighbors house and Kev drank about 46 bottles of wine!  It was such a great night!

We're Pregnant!!

The doctor confirmed today that we are pregnant!!  It's one baby and not twins...big sigh of relief!!  I went in for a blood test on Saturday morning and then one again today.  The doctor called me at home about 3 hours later to let me know that we were indeed pregnant!!  I called Kevin at work to tell him the good news, but we kinda already knew because I took about 172 pregnancy tests!!  Oh I can't wait to start this wonderful journey!
